1. Scope of Manuscripts

China Brewing mainly publishes the latest research results and trends in brewing subject area, covering the fields of food microbiology, food biotechnology, biochemistry, biological science, biological engineering, fermentation engineering, brewing engineering, enzyme engineering, genetic engineering, etc. China Brewing focuses on the review of brewing mechanism, process transformation, enzyme preparations, food additives, systematic analysis of flavor components, screening of excellent fermentation strains, microbial metabolism regulation and quality improvement, clean production and comprehensive utilization of by-products, laws and regulations of food safety and standards, quality assurance system and standardization, intelligence, digital technology and equipment upgrade and so on, basic research, and application of technological achievements.


2. Submission Requirements

Submission to this journal proceeds totally online. Please log on homepage of this journal www.chinabrewing.net.cn and click "Author Login". If it’s the first time to submit manuscripts, please click "Registration", and to submit online after successful registration. Authors must sign the "Copyright Transfer Assignment" at the time of submission, which will be scanned and uploaded together with the manuscript in WORD (.doc) format. Each manuscript is generally not more than 6000 words for research papers and 8000 words for review papers. If the paper is funded by the relevant fund or related research projects, the category and number of the project should be provided, and this journal will give priority for publication. The manuscript should list the personal information of the first and corresponding author, including provide the name, year of birth, gender, professional title, educational background, research direction, E-mail address and telephone number.


3. Writing Points

Please consult our submitting template, which can be downloaded in the editing system.

(1) Title: The title of the paper should be concise, clearly and fully reflect the topic, generally not exceed 25 words, the English title needs to correspond to the Chinese title.

(2) Abstract and keywords: the Chinese abstract should be in 200-400 words, and the abstract of research paper should include the aim, method, results and conclusion. The abstract of review paper should include the research background, research status, content and scope, purpose and significance of the mentioned field. It’s appropriate to select 3-8 keywords for each paper. The English abstract and keywords needs to correspond to the Chinese, English abstract should be expressed in the third person, passive voice and past tense.

(3) Physical quantities, units and symbols: The usage should be conform to relevant international standards and national standards. Physical quantity symbols should be italicized, unit symbols should be bold, and legal measurement units should be used.

(4) Name of plant and microorganism: The usage of the plants and microorganisms names in the article should be based on the specification, and the Latin genus and species names of plants and microorganisms should be italicized.

(5) Figures and tables: The figure and table should clear and concise, avoid using the duplicate contents, and should be numbered separately throughout. The title of figure and table be in both of Chinese and English.

(6) References: The references should be sorted according to the citation order in the paper. References in recent five years should be not less than half of the total, and the foreign literatures should be cited more than 5. The format of the references refers to GB/T 7714-2015 “Information and documentation—Rules for bibliographic references and citations to information resources”. The citations should be marked with square brackets in the upper right corner according to the usage order.


4. Retraction, Acceptance and Rejection of Manuscripts

(1) Retraction: If the authors want to retract the manuscript that has been approved by the first review or external review, for some reasons, the authors should inform the editorial department by E-mail or phone in time.

(2) Acceptance: The editorial department has the right to edit, process and reasonably revise the accepted manuscripts which have been approved by the first review or peer review in accordance with the publication regulations. Major changes in the content will be approved by the authors. The author should revise or explain the comments one by one, and return to the editorial department before the specified date.

(3) Rejection: The following articles will be automatically rejected: j The contents don't conform to the journal scope; k Unrevised manuscripts that haven’t been returned 3 months overdue; l Manuscripts suspected of academic misconduct.


5. Notes

Manuscripts are required to be true in content, reliable in data, clear in viewpoint, rigorous in logic, and should be innovative, scientific, accurate, practical and readable. The authors shall ensure that there will be no controversy over signature, no multiple submissions, no leakage, no political problems, and assume full responsibility for the manuscript.
