Production of highly purified ethanol with triple-column and benzene azeotropic method

Abstract

Azeotropic method in production of pure ethanol is to distill ethanol using common distillation column by addition of entrainer such as ben-zene.Purity of final ethanol is varied due to differences of equipment and technology.Application of triple-column processing technology,that is,azeotropic distillation,followed by recovery distillation of benzene and recovery distillation of ethanol could achieve the purity of ethanol at 99.8%(V/V).
