
Extraction process optimization and antioxidant activity of Sipunculus nudus polysaccharide

Extraction process optimization and antioxidant activity of Sipunculus nudus polysaccharide
Using Sipunculus nudus polysaccharide extraction yield as evaluation index, the effect of solid-liquid ratio, ultrasonic power, temperature and time on S. nudus polysaccharide extraction yield was studied. Based on single factor experiment results, the optimal extraction technology was determined by Box-Behnken experiment as follows: solid-liquid ratio 1∶25 (g∶ml), temperature 70 ℃, time 50 min, and power 400 W. Under these conditions, verification tests results showed that the average extraction yield of S. nudus polysaccharide was 7.01%. In vitro antioxidant activity results showed that the scavenging effect of S. nudus polysaccharide on DPPH and ·OH was 76.31% and 56.93%, respectively. which showed certain antioxidant activity.
